GLOBE SKATE CO.

There has been no bigger player in the New Zealand Skate and Australian Skateboard scene than Globe International. The trio of brothers Stephen, Peter, and Matt Hill are natives of the underground skate scene in Melbourne. Australia’s passion for Skateboarding resulted in the founding of a multi-faceted skateboard apparel and equipment importing company known as Hardcore Enterprises. As skate culture exploded onto the fashion realm in the early 90’s so did Globes range of skate footwear. Known for their trademark chunky aesthetic, Globe shoes achieved immortal status with the re-introduction of the Chet Thomas and Rodney Mullen pro model shoes.

In recent years, however, Globe has undergone somewhat of a renaissance. They are now producing more minimal footwear with slimmed-down silhouettes and quality essentials clothing with a workwear heavy fabrication. Their pants, shorts, and jackets are an unbeatable bang for your buck. Globe shoes are some of the hottest on the market.

Globe Longboards

A gap in the premium cruiser & longboard market has seen Globe Longboards take over the side-walks and beachfronts from Cape Reinga to Bluff and back. When looking for a longboard or cruiser for that daily commute or that weekend roll, Globe gives you the best of both worlds - a premium-quality set up for an entry-level price. Globe Longboards come in all shapes and sizes and you can guarantee we’ve got something for everyone. The smallest option is the 26” Blazer board, a classic fishtail shape with a mellow kicktail. The mid-size 32” Big Blazer is the same shape, with just a bit more room to stand on and manoeuvre. The big boys like the 38” Prowler with the cut-out shape that allows for a greater turning circle. They also have the 42” Pinners and Drop Through boards which offer greater control at more gnarly speeds.
